Release of Disputed Shipments

There are cases where the consignee defaults declines to accept the shipment or cannot manage local customs and port authorities. If such cases are not resolved quickly then demurrage, port charges, detention, product expiry timelines, etc can reduce the value of consignments to zero. In such cases, we get the shipment released on behalf of the shipper and manage onward disposal as per the shipper’s consent.

If a shipper subscribes to the program against a nominal fee charged before the shipment is made, they are indemnified against risksThe program assures that if the consignee willingly or unwillingly refuses the shipment, we will clear the shipment and then hand it over to the party nominated by the shipper or sell it in the local market as per the shipper’s instruction..
